I have not worked on the bus in over six months. I left the front door rusty because I am going to be replacing it.

The question I get asked most is, "Did it ever run?" ;-) Yes, the last inspection was in 1992. When the inspection was about to expire, I took the bus to an Exxon to have it inspected. The fuse panel started to smoke in the garage and they kicked me out. That was the last time it was officially on the road.

After I started ripping the layers of paint off, I realized that I needed to focus on one part of the bus at a time. So I started tearing apart the front end - one job led to another and eventually I had the entire front end apart. Luckily, I have most of the pieces and a '60 front beam as a guide to put it all back together.
