1980 Vanagon Westfalia Campmobile
These pictures were taken when we first purchased the Vanagon. Since then, I have pulled the CB
and put in a new stereo with iPod jack. I have installed rear 3-pt. seat belts for my kids.

| Kitchen area is clean. Original owner's hat came with the Westy and hangs on a special hat hanger near the back cabinet. |
The sliding door has a "custom" panel on it. Passable - but not a match to the OG veneer. | ![]() |

![]() I "discovered" this original owner-installed backdoor. I have to admit that this bin is not all that useful to begin with - but I'm not sure why he made it such an odd shape. At least he made a "cover" to go with it. It worked - I missed seeing this for at least a week. |
Back seat cushion has a fear wear'n'tears. OG material is in pretty good shape. Needs some interior panel work ->. |

Back seat(back) needs something, but I'm not sure what - maybe a veneer cover. Cushion over engine cover is intact - which is amazing in and of itself. |

The OG engine cover is much heavier than later ones. The owner added additional sound deadening material underneath. |

Engine is clean - looks alot less complicated than the watercooled engine - but at the same time much less accessible due to heat shielding. |
